Vickie Martin's Vape Story
Posted on 15 February 2016
I started smoking in high school back in the 70s because all of my friends did and it made you cool. Smoking in the restrooms, sneaking out of the house and smoking, it all seemed harmless, fun, and a good way to be rebelling against your parents rules. Little did I know then that 33 years later I would still be smoking the damned cancer sticks, coughing, hacking, sick every winter and spring. I was diagnosed with COPD and the beginning of a hardened artery in my abdomen 2 years ago. My family was very worried and upset and when my 4 year old granddaughter called me crying and said she was afraid I would die and she was worried about me I decided enough was enough. I had tried to quit several times. Chantix, gum, lozenges, patches, cold turkey. My doctor put me on Wellbutrin and I succeeded almost 3 months...but eventually missed the nicotine and the habit of smoking so much that I went back. A friend ran a little shop where she sold Ego batteries, C3 clearomizers, and some cheap juice as a sideline. She had quit smoking using ecigs and challenged me to just try it for a week. After a week I threw my cigs out the window and never looked back. Now I'm breathing, not coughing, and my Dr is amazed at the difference! Its been almost 2 years and I've never felt better. I can breathe without wheezing, I can smell, I can laugh hard without coughing! I'm 61 years old and rocking my MVP 3 Pro, and 50w ISticks subohming and getting ready to move up to more complicated mods and rdas! I love vaping, love the warm dense clouds, love the flavors, love the whole process. I just regret that it took me so long to find it. Thank you for giving me the chance to share my story. Vaping saved my life and changed my life for the better and I have no plans to stop no matter what.
